Confidential Individual Counselling for Adults & Young People (16+)
As an Integrative Counsellor, I am experienced working with adults and young people dealing with emotional difficulties, loss/bereavement, relationship issues, domestic violence & coercive control, mental health problems, anxiety, stress and depression.
My Approach
- Person-Centred Therapy – I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings at your own pace. Through empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding, I support you in discovering your inner strengths and self-awareness.
- Psychodynamic Therapy – I help you explore past experiences, unconscious patterns, and emotional conflicts that may be influencing your current challenges. Together, we work towards deeper self-understanding and healing.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – I offer practical tools and strategies to manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, helping you to break negative cycles and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
In addition to my private practice, I work for a domestic violence charity as the Counselling Agency Manager offering short term therapy.
I also manage a team of counselling placement students which I really enjoy.
Before qualifying as a Counsellor, I worked for several years within the engineering and Government sectors, in senior management roles, delivering complex programmes and projects. I undertook and commissioned a range of themed research programmes including motivation and behaviour, neurodiversity, equality and inclusivity.
If you are worried that your particular issue may be different or more complex, please contact me and we can discuss this together.
